excited to save hundreds of dollars. But how is that beneficial? In my
opinion, its losing money.
Opportunity cost (what you give up to get something) - the people on
the show talk about how they don't work, and can't work because
collecting coupons takes up all the hours of a day. Obviously, to save
hundreds of dollars, these people have to give up getting a job, and
the time it would take to do a job. Minimum wage will at least bring
in a salary. A salary minus a normal amount of groceries per year
still brings in more money than you would save on couponing.
I can't see how it is beneficial, when getting a job would probably be
less stressful, and bring in more money even after groceries. Not to
mention you have to give up time with your family and kids to "coupon"
all day.
